Logo design for Anna International, with two versions: one for use on her blog and the other for copy editing commissions. The original brief was for something which reflected the writing aspect of her work, perhaps a pen nib, as well as incorporating the international element which arose from her passion for travel. Following a series of alternative ideas the design was based on the ‘International Style’, using crisp lines and typography, and extending the verticals of I, T and L to form a grid. While stepping away from the writing imagery, the grid design is suggestive of the ‘work-in-progress’ content of her writing about the renovation of her house, as well as the orderliness and precision required in her editorial work. The blue tones were requested by Anna to work with the serene, home-feel of her website design and content.
